3PE external coating, and the effective measures which are taken by manufactured at home and the abroad to improve 3PE external coating quality . A newly coating approach consisting of epoxy powder spraying, adhesive powder spraying, and polyolefin powder spraying as well as extruded polyolefin wrapping was introduced. This newly coating approach can avoid the weld coating thickness reducing thin, eliminate cavities appeared on the top and foot of welding, and significantly reduce residual stresses in the coating, so it can remarkably improve 3PE external coating quality.
